Srinagar, Oct 10 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday arrested 02 drug peddlers in separate NDPS cases in Anantnag and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a police spokesperson said in the first incident, a police party of Police Post Bus Stand, while conducting routine patrolling at Prem Gali, Bus Stand Anantnag, apprehended a suspected person identified as Bilal Ahmad Magloo son of Manzoor Ahmad Magloo resident of Wagay Mohallah, Achabal. During his search, charas was recovered from his possession.
He said that in another incident, during the evening hours, a police party of Police Station Dooru apprehended a person, identified as Mohd Sabir Bumla resident of Hangipora, at Kapran, Dooru. During his search, approximately 07 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.
“Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at the respective police stations, and further investigation has been initiated,” he said.
